Re: pitted aluminum repair hi phantomv170,as i am researching some restoration info to my 1984 glastron cvx-16, i came across this thread.as a kid i had a 12ft. I have a 2002 aluminum jon boat, all welded. 0.100 hull. where the paint has worn from sliding on and off the bunks it has pitted. from what i hear. Does anyone know how to stop and repair pitting on the bottom side of an aluminum boat? or maybe know someone that could repair it. the pitting is in a few places.
